Martyrs' Day (Palestine)
During the first 4 years of the Alaqsa Intifada (September 29th, 2000 thru Sept. 28th, 2004), there have been 3,275 documented deaths of Palestinians as a result of the Israeli occupation and the Israeli Occupation Forces' actions. Approximately 80% of these were civilians, including 588 children. Since then, in the past 5 months, another 100 Palestinian children have been killed. Thats more than 4 children every week.

Genocide outlawed worldwide (1951)
United Nations enters into force "The Convention on the Prevention and Punishment of the Crime of Genocide." Genocide includes any of the following acts "committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such: (a) Killing members of the group; (b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group; (c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part; (d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group; (e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group." Needless to say, Israel has committed all of these against the Palestinian people.
